Minutes of Committee Meeting June 2026

  1. Attendance:

  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting
    • Proposed: Leo Seconded: John
  3. Matters/Actions Arising:
    • Clothing: Order is placed. 7 out of 10 are sold. Expect the order end of July. Order form on website - minimum £10 deposit, minimum order of 10 per time.
  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: Went to the Cycle Spine opening and met Chris Boardman
    2. Secretary/IT Officer: Quite a few new members
    3. Treasurer: Clothing paid. Need to check BBQ payments for Mike.
    4. Social Secretary: BBQ this Friday - 45 attendees. Profits will go to Linc.
    5. Runs Secretary: Runs list published. Only a few changes around beer festivals. Next runs list end of July.
    6. Audax: Offered to run a 100km Audax ride as part of the runs list
    7. Publicity Officer:
      • Had a meeting with GCC about the 20mph speed limit.
      • The majority of roads in Cheltenham (including A roads) will be 20mph.
      • Consensus that in residential areas, the town centre and outside schools etc it makes sense.
      • On arterial roads 20mph doesn't make sense.
    8. Welfare Considerations: Nothing to report
  5. Any other business:
    1. Club Member of the Year: Committee agreed to award to Mike B, with honourable mention to Al. James to try and track down the trophy.
    2. Ride for Ryder: Brian is looking to organise an informal ride for anyone wanting to ride. John to share details with James for newsletter etc.
    3. August Tour: Organising a tour in August (15th, 16th & 17th) - 3 nights in Pontypool at the Premier Inn, 50/60 mile days. Open to anyone in the club.
