Minutes of Committee Meeting April 2026

  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting

  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: Sadly, the AGM wasn't particularly well attended, but there were some good conversations. It would be good to get more people involved in helping run the club.
    2. Secretary/IT Officer:
      • Newsletter to go out this week, including: runs list, AGM draft minutes, request for more ride leaders, On Your Bike, Sue Ryder cancelled, Steve P's World Record - fastest to complete the 3 Peaks on a bike, and sharing of rides - if you use anything, we'd recommend Komoot, as it's free
      • Website: Rides calendar now live. Adding ability for "Admins" to edit rides.
    3. Treasurer: Balance as per last meeting
    4. Social Secretary: Summer BBQ to be arranged
    5. Runs Secretary:
      • Runs list being assembled - thanks to those helping.
      • Ride discipline seems better - other clubs are having similar issues
      • Some rides struggling to get leaders
      • Can we put communication out asking for Ride Leaders to keep rides engaged, different and interesting - next newsletters.

    4. Clothing:
      • Scimitar £39.50
      • First 10 to be ordered with a range of sizes.
      • Need sizes from the testers (Mike, John, Rob, Leo, Steve C, Joe, Lester, James) - send email to those and ask for sizing (£30 as testers)
      • When open to others - offer for £30 as club subsidy for first 20 shirts, then £35.
    5. Sharing of GPX files on WhatsApp - in newsletter recommend using Komoot as it's free, and therefore everyone can access it.
