Minutes of Committee Meeting March 2025

  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting

  3. Matters/Actions Arising:
    • End of year report to Cycling UK - Leo/James: Will sort out a time to meet!
    • Clothing: James to circulate
  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: Nothing to report
    2. Secretary/IT Officer:
      • Newsletter to go out later this week - include ICE instructions, Ride Leader guidance for bad weather, Sue Ryder, ask about curry night and mention the walking group.
      • AGM: Booked for 8th April. Officer reports to be sent to James by 1st April 2025.
    3. Treasurer:
      • Waiting for an email from Cycling UK about end of year accounts.
      • Accounts: starting balance £2517.04, expenses £65.82, ending balance £2451.52
      • Savings account has been created with 1% APR and £2000 transferred in
    4. Social Secretary: Curry night: there seemed to be a lack of interest, so it wasn't pursued. Walking Group: seems to be a good success - 3 walks organised so far, running alternate weeks.
    5. Runs Secretary: Runs list published. A few amendments to circulate.
    6. Audax: Rides are scheduled, but haven't been fully published due to Audax UK website issues. Provisionally for 10th May 2025; if not possible, then 6th September 2025.
    7. Publicity Officer: None
    8. Welfare Issues: The committee noted with sadness the passing of a club member. There was good club attendance at the funeral, including a cycling procession with the hearse, and flowers were sent to the family.
