Minutes of Committee Meeting January 2025

  1. Attendance:

  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting
    • Proposed: Al Seconded: Ingrid
  3. Matters/Actions Arising:
    • End of year report to Cycling UK - Leo/James: Will sort out a time to meet!
    • Clothing: Alex has provided some possible designs for the logo, website and clothing. James to circulate.
    • Thursday morning ride: Confirmed it will be a club ride
    • ICE Instructions: Al has provided info to James, for website, newsletter etc.
  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: Nothing to report
    2. Secretary/IT Officer: 5 enquiries for joining, plus others directly.
    3. Treasurer: Nothing to report
    4. Social Secretary: Curry night: going to put a date in for an evening at the Balti Walla. Skittles: good night. Slightly disappointing turn out from club members, only about 14/15 attended.
    5. Runs Secretary: Next runs list being pulled together. Caburn - A rides for Sundays; Mike B - B rides for Tuesdays & Sundays; Leo pulling the rest together.
    6. Audax:
      • Next set of rides for 10th May 2025 being booked with Audax UK. Confirmed with relevant halls etc.
      • Going to charge £10 for 200, £9 for 150 and £8 for 100.
      • Donation from 2023 (£184.47) and 2024 (£71.90) Cheltenham Flyer events.
    7. Publicity Officer: GCC might want to take photos of cyclists on the new routes. Mike B going to liaise.
    8. Welfare Issues: No report
  5. Any other business:
    1. Weather & Leading: James going to review the ride leader guidance on bad weather advice.
    2. Walking Group: Suggested a group be added to the WhatsApp community, for members going for a walk and a pub lunch. James to set up a new group, and promote in the community group, newsletter, Facebook etc.
    3. AGM: Proposed date 8th April 2025 at Exmouth Arms.
