- Welfare Considerations: Concern was expressed that on a recent ride a new rider (suffering from Parkinsons) had been left behind. Comment was made that there are club members who do not feel comfortable or safe riding within a large group, with large gaps developing and riders not re-grouping at junctions. The meeting discussed the responsibilities of Ride Leaders in relation to ride etiquette, group discipline and consideration for less experienced, nervous riders. See AOB
Any other business:
- Rider Guidance: Following on from Welfare considerations the meeting discussed means of educating club riders on the consequences of poor discipline, etiquette and safety when riding as a group. It was agreed that everyone was to consider how this message could be shared with the various groups ie bullet point list on Whatsapp groups and list their comments in the committee group.
- Clothing: It was agreed that the small working group comprising Mike, Rob, John and Alex are to look at developing 2 designs for discussion at the next meeting.
