Minutes of Committee Meeting November 2024

  1. Attendance:
    • Attendees: Al, Lester, Rupert, Ingrid, Leo, James, Steve P
    • Apologies: Mike B, Steve C, Stephen McD
  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting
    • Proposed: Rupert Seconded: Leo
  3. Matters/Actions Arising:
    • Curry night: Ingrid has a contact that can bring curry to a location - details to be passed on to Mike.
    • Sunday lunch: meet up was attended well. Committee feels it's a good option, with more notice and advertising for future occasions.
    • End of year report to Cycling UK - Leo/James: Will sort out a time to meet!
    • Clothing: Alex has provided some possible designs for the logo, website and clothing. James to circulate.
    • OneLife ID: Probably not worthwhile promoting, but instead provide everyone with instructions on how to add ICE to their phone (Al to write up)
  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: Nothing to report
    2. Secretary/IT Officer:
      • Newsletter was sent after last meeting
      • Another newsletter to be sent this week, to include skittles date, runs list, clothing designs, and anything else!
      • Club membership: James & Leo to do the Cycling UK return. James to then check the Facebook & WhatsApp lists against the Cycling UK list.
      • Thursday morning ride: Al to speak with Mike about whether it is a Cheltenham CTC ride
    3. Treasurer: Lloyds Bank to start charging clubs & societies £4.25 per month for an account. Committee agreed to keep it with Lloyds, for £50 per annum, as there are unlikely to be any other banks who offer it for free!
    4. Social Secretary: Skittles date to be requested from Mike.
    5. Runs Secretary: New runs list on Facebook - James to publish on website urgently. Tuesday B-Rides are getting quite large.
    6. Audax: Confirmed monies to be donated to Sue Ryder. Cheltenham Flyer 2025 - 10th May - to be registered with Audax UK shortly.
    7. Publicity Officer: Nothing to report.
    8. Welfare Issues: Nothing to report.
