Minutes of Committee Meeting July 2024

  1. Attendance:

  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting
    • Proposed: Al Seconded: Lester
  3. Matters/Actions Arising:
    • Revisions for website sections (as per Secretary's report) - Lester: Thank you Lester for the amendments
    • Clothing coordinator: ask Richard, find replacement if necessary - James to pick up
    • Nominations for Club Member of the Year: Howard M duly awarded Club Member of the Year. Rupert arranging for award to be engraved.
    • Feelers for October/November club meal: No interest, seemingly - proposing Wetherspoons, Tewkesbury for a late Sunday elevenses, with all 3 rides - End of Season Social
    • End of year report to Cycling UK - Leo/James: Leo & James to meet on Teams!
  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: Nothing new to report. Thanks for arranging the BBQ Mike.
    2. Secretary/IT Officer:
      • Website seems to be running fine
      • Need to create the ability to add rides in batches
      • Waiting for Alex to come back with new design
    3. Treasurer: BBQ cost £29 to the club - all good. Club account shows £2487.22.
    4. Social Secretary: See above regarding End of Season meet up. BBQ successful, despite the weather. Shame quite a few people booked late.
    5. Runs Secretary: New runs list to be worked on, circulated by PDF and updated on the website
    6. Audax:
      • 2024 event was a small loss, due to fuel costs.
      • Will look to increase the fee for 2025 up to £10
      • Great support from the club on the Sue Ryder, covering the back markers for each ride
    7. Publicity Officer: No report
    8. Welfare Issues: No welfare issues. Add a Welfare / safeguarding contact point on the website.
  5. Any other business:
    1. National Family Cycle week, in the New Forest, Friday 26th July through to Saturday 3rd August - contact Rupert if interested
