Minutes of Committee Meeting January 2024

  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting
    • Proposed: Mike Seconded: Lester
  3. Matters/Actions Arising:
    • James to create a Sunday C-Rides WhatsApp group, and share the link to join - will be actioned this week
    • James to publish ride leader guidance, and include in newsletter - will be actioned this week
    • Leo/Richard/James to submit annual return - James/Leo to liaise
    • Lester to speak with First Aid course providers - discussed under AOB
  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: No report
    2. Secretary/IT Officer: Newsletter sent shortly after the last meeting. 2 people contacted Al on the back of the information included.
    3. Treasurer: No report. Limited monies going through the club account. We need to consider who will take the role on for 2024/25.
    4. Social Secretary:
      • Skittles night was a successful and sociable night - Cheltenham CTC came 2nd! The Cricket Club appreciated the income.
      • Curry night ideally towards the end of February. Waiting to hear from CMC when they are able to host.
    5. Runs Secretary: No report
    6. Audax: No change since last report. 2024 Audax rides confirmed.
    7. Publicity Officer:
      • Alex was on BBC Radio Gloucestershire recently, talking about his 10,000 miles in 2023, at 87.
      • Steve P's report is ready to be sent out. Sadly the journalist at the Gloucester Echo has left. Mike and Rupert to look to get it published.
    8. Welfare Officer: No report
  5. Any other business:
    1. First Aid:
      • Contacted a local provider (JWC Training), who can provide a 2 hour course for £250.
      • It includes CPR practice on a dummy and a session talking about immediate first aid.
      • Looking to cap total attendance for the course at 20/25.
      • Offer has been made to use the Cricket Club at £15 per hour.
      • Proposing either 28th February or 6th March at 7.30pm.
      • Open to club members, and to be published in the forthcoming newsletter.
      • Ask people to contact Lester (email or WhatsApp)
    2. 2024 AGM: Proposing Tuesday 16th April, at Exmouth Arms. James to contact Exmouth Arms to book.
    3. Club Clothing: Add to the next newsletter asking if anyone wants any new kit - Lester to be point of contact. Consider a redesign of the kit in the future.
