Minutes of Committee Meeting September 2023

  1. Attendance:

  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting
    • Proposed: Larry Seconded: Mike
  3. Matters/Actions Arising:
    • Ride Leader Guidance/Ride Leaders: Not been actioned - apologies from James
  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: Nothing to report
    2. Secretary/IT Officer: Couple of contacts via website, and they've been referred to the appropriate ride
    3. Treasurer:
      • Richard has offered to continue as Treasurer for the time being
      • He has also sorted out new bank account access
      • James to check with Richard about Annual Return for Treasurer and Club
    4. Social Secretary: Skittles to be sorted when County's Social Secretary returns from travels. Curry night to be sorted later in the year for Jan/Feb 2024.
    5. Runs Secretary: Runs list published - no Sunday C-rides. No-one has said anything about them missing. Tuesday and Friday rides are still doing well.
    6. Audax:
      • Accounts from the May event are not quite ready. Stephen will provide them prior to the next meeting. Approx. £62 profit from food services.
      • Small discussion on how the money could be spent. Suggestions included an emergency first aid course. To be investigated.
      • Draft date for 2024 - 18th May 2024
    7. Publicity Officer: Nothing to report
    8. Welfare Officer: James to send Joe the PDFs from Cycling UK, and invite him to the next meeting
  5. Any other business:
    1. Sue Ryder: they have asked for a list of local clubs - Mike to collate
    2. First Aid: Marie to be asked about contacting St John's to see if they could support it (James)
    3. Tewkesbury Council: Running a cycle repair session on Monday 18th September. Larry to circulate on website.
    4. Recent road changes: Gotherington to Bishops Cleeve cycle path close to completion. A435 rework is complete, and it's a very nice cycle path.
