Minutes of Committee Meeting November 2022

  2. Review and Approve Minutes of Last Meeting

  3. Matters/Actions Arising:
    • Draft ride leader guidance (James): Still not completed
    • Thursday/Friday Daytime Rides: Ride leader provided list with both Thursdays & Fridays on. Based on attendance, propose Fridays only. Ask for comment via Facebook.
    • Sunday C-rides: A list was provided, and published at the beginning of November
  4. Officer's Reports:
    1. Chair: Nothing to report
    2. Secretary/IT Officer: Usual newsletter and rides list circulated
    3. Treasurer:
      • The balance on our account is £2912, the only transaction since summer being receipt of £200 subs from Cycling UK.
      • There's an offer available from Scimitar of a discounted gilet (£20 + VAT instead of £34 + VAT) plus free neck warmer in our CTC design.
      • Proposed offering an inc VAT package of £49 for long sleeve fleece lined jersey, plus gilet, plus neck warmer (£90 value, cost to us £67.20). This would require a subsidy of £18.20; assuming we get an order for 10 that's a cost of £182 to the club.
      • If we don't get sufficient interest then we won't go ahead.

    4. Social Secretary:
      • After a long break we have a new curry night at the motor club on Saturday 28th January. Suggestion from committee is this is subsidised - Richard to confirm cost.
      • Friday 2nd December we have a skittles evening, including the challenge match vs Cheltenham County, at the Cricket Club
    5. Runs Secretary:
      • Runs list published at beginning of November
      • Need to get Runs Secretary on all WhatsApp groups
      • Adding extra info back onto runs list, for version 3
      • Bristol CTC are still keen to meet up - will add it to the spring list
