- Matters/Actions Arising:
- Return to CTC: Leo & Rupert have completed for 2021. Needs completing for 2022.
- Draft ride leader guidance (James): Will try and complete in the next week or two.
- Club Dinner (Richard): Anniversary Dinner, end of October. Richard to confirm location. Graham suggested the Cricket Club with outside catering.
- Officer's Reports:
- Chairperson: Welcomed the new committee. Confirmed it will be his last year, and asked for volunteers for a handover.
- Secretary: Minutes
- Treasurer: Report to follow
- Social Secretary:
- Report to follow
- Email to Geoff & Kat, to thank them for the BBQ
- Andy has offered to host another BBQ at his. Suggestion for September.
- Runs Secretary:
- Lester & Ingrid running some "Gentle" rides. Can we send out the new rides on email?
- Ingrid to do 1 more, as a trial, 15-20 miles from ICH - 14th July 7pm
- Suggestion from the committee that we try some more cross-pollination of destinations between rides.
- IT Officer: To liaise with Leo about managing the runs list, for the website
- Audax:
- No club updates
- Lots of Audax rides going on, including Stephen going to complete London-Edinburgh-London on 8th August - good luck!
- Any other business:
- AGM outcomes:
- Females on committee a positive
- Gentle/shorter rides
- Family rides - do people still want them?!
- Trophies scrapped, aside from club member of the year. We need to find a final home for the trophies.
- Attendance numbers were disappointing. Should we consider a speaker? (Larry suggested a Tewkesbury Councillor.)
- We'll consider this again in future meetings, to try and get more attendance.
- Tracking of new members: now that we're not compiling runs lists, how do we know who is/isn't a member? Adjust the ride leader guidance to ask for riders list to be sent to either Runs Secretary or Secretary to track.
- Sue Ryder:
- Sunday 10th July
- Very few riders taking part or helping out. They would like CTC to be involved again.
- The club has supported the ride for 25+ years. It changed from a "fun/family ride" to a sportive, 90/130 only, but has now brought back the 2 shorter rides.
- They offer 40km, 60km, 90km (Stephen is going to be the broom wagon) and 130km.
- Ask the club again for volunteers, via email & Facebook.
- Graham advised the committee that he is going to be standing down as he is moving away. He was thanked for his time on the committee.
- Next meeting: 22nd August & 3rd October 2022. Thank you Stephen for hosting - great banana cake!
